Kyla Carlson

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Helping others find clarity, purpose, and peace is more than my profession—it’s my passion.

I’ve been fortunate to walk alongside individuals on their journeys toward self-actualization, resilience, and healing. With a background rooted in Social Work, my career has spanned outpatient therapy with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, group, and residential settings, as well as providing crisis mental health support in hospital environments. I’ve also worked extensively in community-based roles, offering service linkage and resource navigation for families in need.

At the core of my approach is a belief in accountability, goal-setting, and tapping into the self-motivation that drives lasting change. I primarily operate from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) lens, helping clients recognize and challenge negative thought patterns while building practical strategies for managing them in daily life.

I have a special interest in working with individuals navigating grief and loss in all its forms—whether through death, identity shifts, life transitions, or unexpected change. I’m also deeply committed to supporting those working toward anger management and emotional regulation goals.

That said, I don’t believe in putting limits on healing. Life is nuanced, and so is therapy. I’m always open to working with clients who I feel I can serve with both purpose and compassion.

If you choose to work with me, you’ll find a safe, supportive space where your experiences are honored and your potential is championed. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and walk with you on your journey.

I’ll leave you with one of my favorite reminders:

“There are no limits on what you can achieve with your life, except the limits you accept in your mind.” – Brian Trac
