Meet the Heart Behind Whole Life Solutions: Lisa Schwab, Founder & Owner
For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of serving Central Illinois as a therapist, educator, and community advocate. My mission? To help individuals and families move toward healing, health, and wholeness—because I truly believe that wholeness isn’t just a goal… it’s a way of life.
In 2012, I was honored to receive the Forty Leaders Under 40 Award from IBI Magazine for my work with children and families. More recently, I was named one of Central Illinois’ 25 Women in Leadership, a recognition that reflects my commitment to not only strengthening families—but strengthening the very fabric of our community.
When I founded Whole Life Solutions, LLC, I chose the name with intention. Life is complex—it’s joyful, painful, messy, and beautiful. It can lift us up or leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or numb. And often, it helps to have someone walk beside you as you make sense of it all. That’s where I come in. My job is to help you rediscover your worth, rebuild connection, and rewrite the narrative—one rooted in hope, resilience, and healing.
My clinical work is deeply informed by both cutting-edge science and heart-centered compassion. I am certified in EMDR, The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, and Psychological First Aid, and hold additional training in trauma, grief, infertility and pregnancy loss, marriage restoration, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy, and more. I was one of just 15 therapists in the world selected to train with Dr. Bruce Perry, internationally recognized trauma expert and advisor on recovery efforts following 9/11, Columbine, and Hurricane Katrina.
In addition to therapy, I’ve led thousands of trainings for professionals across child welfare, law enforcement, education, corporate sectors, and faith-based organizations. I also launched the Mental Health Matters education initiative, and partnered with Columbia University to bring the TeenScreen Suicide Prevention Program to Illinois as the state’s first official site.
Whether I’m sitting with a client one-on-one or speaking to a room full of changemakers, my passion remains the same: to equip, empower, and elevate. To remind people that healing is always possible, and no story is too broken to be rewritten.
If you’re looking for someone who brings both heart and expertise to the table, I’d be honored to walk with you on your path toward whole living.
